We tend to think of the Send To command, accessed from the right mouse button when an object is selected, as a way to send something quickly to a floppy disk or mail recipient, but it has other uses!
Do you frequently copy files to a particular drive or folder stored on your local machine or on the network? You can speed up the process of getting them there by adding that destination to your Send To list. The SendTo folder is located in your Profiles folder—generally %systemroot%\Profiles\username (i.e., \Winnt\Profiles\username\SendTo). To add a folder or drive to it, simply browse to the SendTo folder via My Computer, right-click and drag into it the folder or drive icon that you want to add, and select Create Shortcut(s) Here.
Now when you want to copy a file to the aforementioned drive or folder, right-click the file, select Send To, and choose the appropriate location.
